The Future Finance Poland Foundation has submitted its position on the draft Development Strategy of the Capital City of Warsaw up to 2040 (Strategy #Warszawa2040+). The document was prepared on behalf of a broad community of financial institutions, experts, and technology-driven enterprises gathered around the Future Finance Poland initiative.
While acknowledging the ambition and comprehensive scope of the Strategy, as well as its vision of Warsaw as an open and resilient metropolis, the position highlights the need to more explicitly recognize the development of Warsaw as an international financial centre as a key pillar of the city’s long-term competitiveness and metropolitan functions.
The document presents concrete recommendations related to, among others:
- the development of modern financial services and the FinTech sector,
- attracting international talent and investors,
- strengthening public–private cooperation,
- promoting Warsaw as a regional financial and technology hub,
- leveraging financial innovation and green finance to support urban development.
The full position paper, including detailed justifications and international benchmarks, is available in the attached document.
