Paweł Widawski, President of the Board of Future Finance Poland, has been appointed Treasurer of the World Alliance of International Financial Centers. The appointment was made by WAIFC’s Board of Directors during the Annual General Meeting in Busan, South Korea, on 15 September 2026.
Widawski succeeds Lynn Robbroeckx of Luxembourg for Finance, who continues to serve on the Board. The appointment gives FFP a further role in the governance of the international financial-centre network.
The Board also elected Miles Celic of TheCityUK as the incoming Chair and Rocky Tung of the Hong Kong Financial Services Development Council as the incoming Vice-Chair. They will take office following the end of the current Chair’s and Vice-Chair’s terms at the close of 2026.
Cooperation between financial centres
Hosted by Busan Finance Center, the meeting brought together WAIFC members, observers and guests. The programme combined the Alliance’s governance work with exchanges on the development of financial centres and their contribution to their economies.
FFP’s participation in WAIFC connects Poland with organisations developing and promoting financial centres around the world. The new appointment strengthens that institutional connection and FFP’s involvement in the Alliance’s work.
