Poland featured in the WAIFC report on AI in financial services

Future Finance Poland contributed to the survey behind the WAIFC AI Report 2026, published in April in collaboration with Abu Dhabi Global Market. The report examines how financial centres are adopting artificial intelligence and addressing the questions it raises for regulation, skills and risk management.

The report identifies established uses of AI in compliance, fraud detection, customer service and portfolio management. It also highlights concerns about data privacy, bias, the transparency of models and dependence on external technology providers. Human oversight and access to professionals with both financial and technical expertise remain important challenges.

Polish language models and data sovereignty

A dedicated section on Poland describes the growing use of generative AI and the development of Polish-language models, including Bielik and PLLuM. It also examines interest in locally hosted and EU-based solutions, reflecting concerns about control over data, dependence on individual vendors and operational resilience.

The report lists Future Finance Poland among the survey participants and includes a Polish ecosystem profile covering public institutions, national strategy, innovation support and talent development.

For FFP, the publication brings the Polish perspective into an international exchange about responsible AI adoption. It offers a useful reference for institutions considering how to combine new capabilities with governance, appropriate skills and trust in financial services.
