Future Finance Poland joined FinanceMalta and the Malta Asset Servicing Association in Warsaw on 21 May 2026 for a conference on digital asset funds and MiCA. Paweł Widawski participated in the panel examining Malta’s experience and its relevance for Central and Eastern European market participants.
Held at the Sheraton Grand Warsaw, the event brought together fund managers, financial institutions, legal advisers and supervisory representatives. Its programme covered the structure and operation of digital asset funds, tokenised funds and the regulatory framework for crypto-asset service providers.
Widawski joined Timothy Borg Olivier of Deloitte, Cherise Abela Grech of GTG, Mark Caruana Scicluna of Ganado Advocates and Herman Ciappara of the Malta Financial Services Authority. The panel placed the Polish perspective alongside Malta’s experience of developing its digital asset market.
For FFP, the conference was an opportunity to exchange experience with organisations and practitioners involved in the development of another European financial centre. It connected the organisation’s work on digital assets with questions of market access and the practical operation of financial services across borders.
