Warsaw Finance Week 2025: Warsaw Takes Centre Stage in the European Debate on the Future of Finance

From November 3rd to 6th, 2025, CIC Warsaw transformed into the beating heart of financial innovation in CEE. The recently concluded Warsaw Finance Week (WFW) brought together over 1,500 participants from 17 countries, confirming Poland’s aspirations as a leading next-generation financial hub.

This year’s edition attracted business leaders, policymakers, regulators, investors, and fintech delegates from across Europe. For four days, the Polish capital hosted crucial discussions on the direction of the financial sector amidst shifting geopolitics and technological acceleration.

Future Finance Summit – Voices that Matter

The flagship event of the week was the Future Finance Summit (November 4–5). The stage featured key figures shaping the Polish and European economic landscape. Distinguished speakers included:

  • Radosław Sikorski, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland,
  • Andrzej Domański, Minister of Finance of Poland,
  • Prof. Jacek Jastrzębski, Chairman of the Polish Financial Supervision Authority (KNF),
  • Januš Kizenevič, Vice-Minister of Finance of Lithuania.

Perspectives were also shared by representatives of key institutions and global corporations, such as the new Anti-Money Laundering Authority (AMLA), London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG), Bank Pekao S.A., Mastercard, PKO Bank Polski, Samsung and Visa. The debates also featured leaders from major financial ecosystems in Berlin, Frankfurt, Vilnius, Tallinn, and Brussels.

More Than a Conference

Warsaw Finance Week offered a rich programme of thematic side events delving into specialized market areas:

  • Digital Asset Day – dedicated to the future of tokenisation and digital assets.
  • Financial Crime Fighters – focusing on combating financial crime and AML system security.
  • Pitch the Future: FinTech & Innovation Challenge – a competition for the most promising startups.
  • Berlin Calling: Fintechs Without Borders – building bridges between the Polish and German innovation ecosystems.

The agenda addressed the most critical issues shaping the financial ecosystem: from digital payments and AI in finance to cybersecurity, regulatory evolution, and Europe’s strategic role in a shifting geopolitical environment.

The success of Warsaw Finance Week 2025 sends a clear signal to the market: Poland is no longer just an observer but an active creator of change in the financial sector.
