Digital Payments Security Initiative – Recruitment Now Open

Future Finance Poland, in cooperation with Mastercard – the substantive partner of the Digital Payments Specialization – invites you to join a new strategic initiative: Digital Payment Security.

Mission:
To create a collaborative platform for designing systemic solutions that will enhance the security of digital transactions across the Polish payments sector.

Specific Objectives:

  • Identify the key security challenges in digital payments in Poland, including the most common vulnerabilities and barriers to addressing them.
  • Analyse global solutions and best practices in digital payment security from other markets.
  • Develop best practices and/or systemic solution recommendations to mitigate the identified challenges in the Polish market — for example, mechanisms for secure data/information exchange between payment system participants.

Expected Outcome:
A comprehensive report that will:

  1. Summarise the key challenges in payment security.
  2. Outline existing industry efforts to improve security.
  3. Provide actionable recommendations to enhance systemic resilience in the Polish financial sector’s payment systems.

This material will complement UOKiK guidelines and support preparations for PSD3/PSR regulations.

Format & Timeline:

  • Participant meetings every 1–2 months.
  • Workshop-based format to:
    1. Identify vulnerabilities.
    2. Ideate cross-system solutions (drawing on global examples).
    3. Develop final systemic recommendations.
  • First workshop: October 2025.

We are now inviting participants from across the financial ecosystem — from banks, PSPs, and fintechs to payment infrastructure providers and regulators.
