Specialization Digital payments

Vision

The aim of Digital Payments specialization led by Mastercard is to strengthen Poland’s position among the world leaders in digital payments, building on three core elements:

  • Diverse ecosystem of interacting participants,
  • Friendly and trustworthy business and regulatory environment,
  • Secure and widely used payment innovations.

 

This will be achieved through developing cooperation mechanisms and market standards to increase the availability, flexibility and the innovativeness of payments in Poland.

Scope of work:

We have already launched 3 working groups to address identified challenges and seize opportunities related to digital payments in Poland:

  1. Standardization and improvement of user experience and security of payments in e-commerce 
  2. Regulatory benchmarking to lay the foundations for a regulatory dialogue in the area of digital payments – based on the analysis of existing regulatory barriers, and best practices from the reference markets

 

Development of open banking solutions for digital payments, based on the review and update of market standards in the context of new regulations

Supporting activities:

  • Promoting Poland’s position as a leader in digital payments, communicating our strengths and innovative solutions across other markets
  • Creating and participating in other initiatives that enable a qualitative leap in service standards for digital payments
  • Collaborating with educational and scientific institutions to support an effective collaboration and knowledge exchange with business environment in digital payments area

Collaboration with the ecosystem:

  • Participation in FFP activities, including engagement in local and international events
  • Collaboration with other specializations within FFP to exchange expert knowledge and implement joint initiatives
  • Co-creation of materials and publications within FFP aimed at internal and external markets

The specialization partner is the Polish branch of Mastercard

Data & AI specialization supports the efficient use of artificial intelligence, data, and advanced analytics to develop and enhance products, services, and processes in the financial sector.

The main goal of FinCrime specialization is to create a long-term strategy for the development of FinCrime competencies in the Polish financial sector

Open Finance is one of the elements of Future Finance Poland, an initiative actively supported by the public sector.

Specialization in Digital Assets: strategies for tokenization, cryptocurrency storage, stablecoin issuance, and regulatory analysis.
