On Tuesday, December 17th, a fascinating webinar took place, focusing on the report “Is the financial sector ready for the AI revolution?” This study and report, developed through a collaboration between speedapp, FinTech Poland, and Future Finance Poland, is based on over 100 hours of in-depth interviews with IT industry experts. These interviews provided a broad perspective on how innovation specialists perceive the job market, including the financial sector.
Our research revealed that technology companies are viewed as the most attractive workplaces for career development in AI. A notable 61% of respondents see their career path in this area. Additionally, a significant majority (54%) seek opportunities in international companies, while only 17% prefer domestic firms.

As Piotr Zieliński, Co-founder and CTO of speedapp, pointed out during the report discussion, financial institutions need to find ways to reshape their image as employers. He also offered a suggestion derived from the study: creating a research center could significantly boost interest in employment opportunities within the sector. This concept, along with many other ideas, was explored during the vibrant discussion on how financial institutions can position themselves as appealing and forward-thinking workplaces for AI experts.
