High-level international dialogue

Representatives of FutureFinancePoland participated in a high-level dialogue organized by the Ministry of Finance with representatives of the United Arab Emirates. Delegates discussed potential collaboration in the banking and regulatory sectors, as well as in energy transition and renewable energy. They also talked about the implementation of fintech solutions.


Representatives of the Polish delegation also presented examples of the practical use of artificial intelligence in the Ministry of Finance and Krajowa Administracja Skarbowa. They highlighted cooperation in the field of AI in the domestic and international markets, including with the scientific community. They also identified opportunities to use the power of supercomputers integrated within the EuroHPC network operating in Europe to support the development of artificial intelligence. According to Deputy Minister Pawel Karbownik, the Polish experience will allow for building effective cooperation with the United Arab Emirates and further developing modern AI-based solutions.

Polish companies in the financial sector are notable for their substantial potential and experience, particularly in the realm of innovation, which holds significant value in fostering bilateral relations and strengthening global financial stability”, said FFP President Pawel Widawski.

The UAE delegation was led by Younis Haji Alkhoori, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance, and included key figures such as Ahmed Ibrahim Al Mansouri, Consul General of the UAE in Poland; @Maryam Buti, Managing Director of the Securities and Commodities Authority; Ali Abdullah Sharafi, Acting Assistant Undersecretary for International Financial Relations at the Ministry of Finance; Abdulla Al Muhairi, Head of Banking Supervision at the Central Bank of the UAE; Khadija Ali, Senior Representative for Business Development, DIFC; Saker Asllan, Director of Exchange Operations, Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange; and Ahmed Al Awadi, Director of Development and Investments (EMEA) at Masdar.

The Ministry of Finance was represented by Pawel Karbownik, Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Finance, Robert Krzyśków, Director of the International Cooperation Department at the Ministry of Finance, Tomasz Batko Director of the Strategy Department, well as senior officials from the Financial Supervision Commission and the Banking Supervision Department. Pawel Widawski and Piotr Brewiński represented Future Finance Poland.
