On June 26, 2024, a knowledge sharing meeting was held as part of the Digital Payments Specialization led by Mastercard. Despite holiday season, attendance was excellent, with over 20 participants joining in person and remotely. Two interesting presentations were included in the agenda.
The first presentation, delivered by Mastercard, covered the results of research on tokenization. It discussed awareness of Poles about tokenized payment methods, reasons for using them, main concerns, and tips for further tokenization promotion. The second presentation, prepared by Kontomatik, focused on Open Banking. It presented conclusions from the implementation of PSD2 in Poland and other EU countries and offered suggestions on what could be done differently with future regulations in the areas of Open Banking and Open Finance.
